Kids United Early Learning Centre Nursery & Toddler Room nurtures your child’s early years. More than just care, our program nurtures the whole child. Provides a calm, safe environment where toddlers feel secure and inspired.
Children grow and develop rapidly in their first two years of life. Our carefully prepared learning spaces support key early milestones. These include movement, coordination, language development, sensory exploration, independence, and emotional well-being. Every element invites curiosity and learning through touch, movement, and play.
Our daily routines provide comfort while adapting to each child’s needs. Educators offer gentle guidance and meaningful connections throughout the day. This helps build strong foundations for confidence, trust, and a love of learning.
As children grow, they move to the next stage with confidence. They are supported every step, building on their skills and familiarity.

Your Child’s First Steps: Nursery & Toddler Stages (0–2 Years)
Our Nursery & Toddler Program has three stages: 0–9, 9–15, and 15–24 months.
Each stage nurtures curiosity, independence, and growth in mind, body, and social skills.
0–9 Months: Foundations of Discovery
The first stage is all about exploration, connection, and sensory development. Infants explore their environment, bond with others, and practise movement and coordination.
Experiences and materials include:
- Grasping and reaching mobiles
- Rattles and sensory boards
- Treasure baskets
- Sound bottles
- Shape boards
These activities develop motor skills, focus, sensory awareness, and confidence to explore.
9–15 Months: Growing Independence
At this stage, infants gain control over movement, communication, and thinking. They explore cause-and-effect, problem-solve, and develop social and language skills.
Experiences and materials include:
- Object permanence boxes
- Colour sorting and stacking blocks
- Shape sorting and matching activities
- Language cards and counting exercises
- Nesting cups and simple puzzles
This stage develops motor skills, coordination, visual awareness, and early communication.
15–24 Months: Preparing for Toddler Life
In the final stage, children are introduced to structure, order, and practical skills. This prepares them for the next stage with confidence and independence.
Experiences and materials include:
- Pouring, spooning, and other practical life activities
- Advanced stacking, matching, and sorting tasks
- Simple sequences and language-building exercises
This stage focuses on vocabulary, concentration, independence, and confidence. By the end, children are ready for the Day Care Program.
Nursery & Toddler Learning Goals
Crawling, walking, climbing, and jumping are encouraged through play and movement. These experiences build children’s strength, coordination, and confidence while exploring freely.
Children practice self-feeding, choosing activities, and tidying up to build independence. These skills also boost confidence and support early independence from a young age.
Children develop communication skills using 1 to 2-word phrases, simple gestures, and meaningful interactions. Activities provide freedom of expression and foster early language development.
Infants explore body parts, colours, and shapes through sensory experiences. These activities support early thinking, problem-solving, and concept formation.
Through play and interaction, children build social skills and creativity. These experiences help them collaborate, build relationships, and manage emotions.
Children manipulate, investigate, and experiment with materials in different ways. This enhances sensory experiences, problem-solving skills, and imaginative thinking.
Our Nursery & Toddler Curriculum
Kids United Early Learning Centre EYLF approach helps children explore and grow safely. It builds confidence, independence, and social skills while celebrating each child.
Our EYLF supports growth through five outcomes.

- Stair climbing and bead mazes
Children explore sights, sounds, textures, shapes, and colours through hands-on activities. These activities help infants learn to observe, compare, and understand their environment in meaningful ways.

- Object permanence boxes
- Vertical dowel discs
- 3D fitting exercises
- Sensory balls and puzzles
Our program encourages independence and everyday skills through playful, hands-on learning. Children build confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills through simple tasks.
