FAQ
1. WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR ENROLMENT?
First we recommend making a time to visit our amazing centre and have one of our friendly Educators assist you. You can make a tour booking here. To complete the enrolment process we require all paperwork to be completed and returned along with a $300 payment to book in any offered positions.
2. IS THERE AN ORIENTATION?
We offer a unique orientation process to cater for your families unique needs. This usually includes spending some time at the centre with your child as they participate in the daily program and meet our Educators.
3. WHAT HOURS ARE YOU OPEN?
We are open from 6.15am-6pm Mon-Fri. We also operate on Saturdays for occasional care from 7am-5pm (Saturday bookings are required at least 2 weeks in advance and a minimum of 5 children must be booked in)
We are closed for all NSW public holidays and for 2 weeks over the Christmas/New Year holiday period.
4. WHAT DO YOUR DAILY FEES INCLUDE?
Our fees include the Education and care of children as well as all meals, sunscreen and linen.
5. WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE OR PACK IN MY CHILD’S BAG?
Please pack at least one change of clothes for your child each day suited to the weather. If your child is toilet training, we recommend a number of changes including socks and underwear If your child is in nappies we suggest packing at least 6 nappies a day, alternatively you can provide a bag of nappies to be stored at the centre for your child’s use. Wet wipes are also required for children in nappies. Formula or breast milk and bottles must also be provided for children aged 12months and under.
6. WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY CHILD’S FIRST DAY?
You will be greeted by our Educators who will show you where to sign your child in and where to place their belongings. You will be invited to join your child in their room as they settle for you to leave. We encourage and welcome families to call the centre during the day to see how their child is doing.
7. HOW WILL I BE INVOLVED IN MY CHILD’S LEARNING?
We welcome parents and families to be actively involved in their child’s learning and offer a range of opportunities for families to share their skills and interests through class room visits that may include activities such as reading, cooking, arts, music and gardening with the children.
We also have a secure online portal available for enrolled families. Once you have completed a consent form, an account will be created for you and you will receive personal log in details. You’ll be able to access your child’s documentation including regularly updated daily journals, activities, observations and information regarding sleep, toileting and meals.
We hold various events at the centre throughout the year that parents and families are invited to attend. Our room programs are displayed in the parent foyers for families to view and offer suggestions.
8. WHAT IS CCR AND CCB?
CCR- Child care rebate and CCB – Child Care Benefit are subsidies provided by the government to assist families with their payments. To find out more about your payments go to https://www.humanservices.gov.au/
9. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE MY CHILD NEEDS?
All children require a sun smart hat (wide brimmed or legionnaire hat) we have centre hats and polo shirts with logos available for purchase.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR STAFF RATIOS?
Our service provides a higher ratio of Educators to children than is legally required to ensure the highest level of care is received. Our staff rosters are carefully planned to ensure consistency for children and families. All our Educator’s hold permanent positions to promote positive and responsive relationships with children and to ensure a consistently high standard is met.
